Crafted from a unique blend of clay, it possesses a rustic texture and a subtle coarseness characteristic of earthenware.
This donburi bowl, perfect for the cooler months, is shaped and coated in a serene light blue glaze, with a touch of white glaze highlighting the finger-rest area.
The result is a piece that beautifully balances a traditional Japanese feel with a touch of modern, playful cuteness.
Its depth makes it ideal for enjoying 2-3 types of ingredients along with the broth during hot pot meals.
Beyond hot pots, it's also wonderful for dishes with flavorful broths like agedashi tofu or jibu-ni, and for serving hearty potage soups.
Embracing its Japanese aesthetic, it can also be used to present traditional sweets such as warabi mochi or shiratama.
We invite you to enjoy this bowl with a variety of culinary creations.
All pieces are handcrafted in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. Every step, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, is done by hand.
While mass production isn't possible, each item has its own unique character, offering a charm that comes from being handmade.
The item you receive will be the same as pictured.
The base of the bowl has been carefully sanded to minimize any potential scratching on your table.
I continuously explore new combinations of glazes and clays, creating a diverse range of pottery in various colors and shapes.
Each piece is unique, with subtle variations that make them one-of-a-kind, even if they appear similar.
It brings me great joy when someone finds a piece they truly love.
I hope you'll find a touch of warmth and color in your daily life with these earthenware pieces, woven together by clay and glaze.

*Important Notes for Purchase and Use*
- Due to the porous nature of pottery, colors may seep into the crazing over time, or moisture may appear on the surface.
To prevent this, all our tableware undergoes a waterproofing treatment with a food-safe sealant before shipping, so no initial "seasoning" (medome) is required.
This waterproofing process takes 2-3 days, which is why we set the shipping period to 5 days from your order.
If you prefer not to have this treatment applied, please let us know at the time of purchase.
- Cutlery shown in the product images is not included.
- Product images are edited and shot to be as true to the actual product as possible. However, please be aware that colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings and lighting conditions.
- As this item is also sold on other platforms, in the event of overlapping purchases, the item will be prioritized for the customer who completes the purchase process first. We appreciate your understanding.
- While the bowl is safe for microwave use (for reheating) and dishwashers, the vibrations from microwaves and the high-pressure spray in dishwashers may accelerate wear over time. We recommend using these appliances sparingly.
- Please refrain from using the bowl in an oven or over direct flame.
- After use, please wash thoroughly and ensure the item is completely dry before storing it in your cupboard to prevent stains and mold.
