These are upcycled Kintsugi SDGs jewelry pieces, crafted from ceramics by Shokeian, a potter based in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Broken or chipped ceramics that would otherwise be discarded are given new life, mended with Kintsugi, and transformed into accessories. The concept behind these pieces is to connect people with nature and Japan's enduring traditions, reinventing them into modern accessories that resonate with the future, thus creating new possibilities. Pale pink and white pottery shards are mended with Kintsugi and adorned with peridot. The sides of the pottery fragments are also enhanced with Kintsugi, allowing the gold to shimmer beautifully from every angle, adding an elegant touch.
