The "qu jing" (curved stem) in the name "Qu Jing Lan Qian Ma Lan" comes from its stem's distinctive zigzag growth pattern.
Leaves on the flowering stem become smaller, creating a unique appearance where larger leaves envelop smaller ones.
It serves as a food source for the larvae of various butterfly species.
Found in mid-elevation mountain areas of central and southern Taiwan, as well as in the forests of Lanyu Island.
Its trumpet-shaped flowers, adorned with gradient pale purple hues, are quite captivating in the wild.
Approximate size: 4.3 * 2.8cm
