Every band includes two keepers (one of which is fixed). **Premium Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather** The band features "Buttero" vegetable-tanned leather, produced from cowhide at the renowned Conceria Walpier tannery in the Tuscany region of Italy. Reflecting the nature of the tanning process, each piece of leather possesses unique tones and patterns, ensuring every band has its own distinct character. **Leather Lining** The lining of the band uses the same "Buttero" vegetable-tanned leather from Conceria Walpier. As the lining is in direct contact with the skin, we exclusively use the natural, uncolored version of "Buttero". **Band Thickness** The band is approximately 2.5 mm thick; after a few days of wear, it will adapt and contour to your wrist. **Distinguishing Vegetable-Tanned Leather** Refined over centuries, traditional vegetable-tanning techniques grant leather a unique aesthetic and unparalleled durability. Due to the labor-intensive, time-consuming nature of this process and the necessity for highly skilled artisans, the cost is significantly higher, making it less widely available. Vegetable-tanned leather accounts for only 20% of global leather production, with chrome-tanned leather making up the remaining 80%. While difficult to distinguish by sight alone for the inexperienced, you can rely on your senses: vegetable-tanned leather emits a distinct, rich leather scent that synthetic materials or other tanning methods lack. Over time, the color will gradually deepen, developing a natural, beautiful patina—a hallmark characteristic of vegetable-tanned leather. **Special Note** Please be aware that as leather is a natural product, it may feature minor characteristics such as natural scars, stretch marks, or other surface markings; these are normal for genuine leather.
