So many customers have been asking for it! Honestly, I don't quite get it – why not just use an iron basin, an oyster shell, or a clam shell to burn sacred wood sticks? What's so special about this? Perhaps it's about creating a ritual. This incense dish is made of clay, a handicraft from artisans in Peru. The patterns are hand-painted, making each one unique. The groove in the center is designed to hold sacred wood sticks, and some have two small holes at the bottom, allowing you to also insert incense sticks. Others don't (What can I say? Ever since I started trading with Peruvians over a decade ago, I can only say that Peruvians truly are naturally laid-back!). This Peruvian handmade and hand-painted incense holder can be used for incense powder, incense cones, and sacred wood sticks – it's multi-functional.
