The shape, size, angle, color distribution, and other external characteristics of each piece will inevitably differ. Glaze colors will exhibit variations due to factors such as placement within the kiln, firing temperature, and glaze thickness. As all work is done by a single artisan, production periods can be extensive. Pieces are fired together once a sufficient quantity is gathered. The designer may also be managing other orders and tasks concurrently, meaning production could take up to two months.
