Honestly, if you measure by size, pre-owned wallets aren't much more cost-effective than pre-owned bags, especially for brands like LOEWE! Their pre-owned bags have always offered exceptional value for money. Not only is the quality excellent, but the prices are generally not too high (except for certain rare or popular series... like the snake bone or museum pieces...). Therefore, a wallet in good condition could cost as much as a bag in average condition. However! For wallets and small personal items, I believe they are more worth investing in and waiting for excellent condition pieces! This is because wallets and small accessories are items you use daily, items you touch every day. For bags, apart from everyday work styles, most people tend to keep certain bags for special occasions or choose them based on their mood and outfit. But wallets? You rarely switch them out frequently, right? At least, not many people would coordinate their wallets with their outfits like they do with bags, would they? (Does anyone really change them that often??). Aside from necessity, people usually use one or two wallets until they're worn out or nearing the end of their lifespan before getting a new one. Therefore, wallets are actually the most intimate items, used the most frequently. Following that would probably be keychains for house or company keys. When it comes to wallets, if you're looking for leather, I would absolutely recommend Loewe first. Their styles are simple, the leather is durable and lightweight, and the wallet itself is thinner than modern versions! The one I have here is a small coin purse. Besides holding coins, it can also function as a mini storage pouch for things like hair ties, clips, or even keys. This small coin purse is incredibly cute, with just a simple LOEWE embossed logo. The key is its compact size, taking up minimal space in your bag! . . . ⚐⚑˒˒ The wallet is in good condition, not mint, but it's incredibly affordable! And it's a rare find in a color – a very vibrant yellow! It's made of BOX calfskin and Nappa calfskin, with excellent leather condition and a natural sheen. There's absolutely no discoloration, color transfer, or dyeing. The front of the coin purse has no scratches or indentations, it's beautiful! The bottom has some signs of use but no obvious dirt! The edges and corners are free of any significant marks/flaws. The interior is lambskin with very minor signs of use, and the zipper works normally. Both the exterior and interior have LOEWE embossing, and there's a country of origin mark inside. It's a low-key, understated style that's super resistant to dirt. Overall, the small wallet shows only minimal signs of use on the bottom. It's a rare find in such good condition, and not in black. Machine-made parts lack the same level of detail. You can easily see this by comparing the intricate patterns of vintage monogram prints with those of modern reissues. The level of detail in the monogram patterns alone is completely different. If you love monograms, you should definitely look for pre-owned items! Truly! In terms of style, older eras featured more simple, timeless, and enduring designs. Many new styles today are actually reproductions of older models. However, new models are priced higher than older ones, and new designs are typically based on older styles with additions or modifications. Ultimately, the designs become more complex than those of the past. I believe as you grow older, you understand one thing: the simpler, the more enduring! The quality of raw materials in older models is also superior to newer ones. Anyone who understands leather can tell that the materials used in new models are mostly inferior to older ones. This is mainly because the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high and their availability is limited today. Furthermore, many brands had very high standards for their finished products back then. The difference between new and old hardware is most easily seen. Many new hardware pieces oxidize and discolor after just a year or two of use, but older models rarely do.
