Layering the dye deepens the color, penetrating the fibers and strengthening the fabric and threads. Indigo dyeing is also prized for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, making it a valuable choice for clothing and household fabrics. — About Washing — Unlike Indian indigo, natural indigo rarely causes color transfer during washing. However, for the initial washes until the color settles, please wash separately. If color does transfer from intensely dark indigo items, it will naturally fade over time.
