All stages of production—from clay preparation and shaping to bisque firing, glazing, and final firing—are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and electric potter's wheel. While mass production isn't possible, each piece has its own unique character, and we hope you'll appreciate their individual personalities. The item you receive will be the same as pictured. The base of the mug will be sanded smooth before shipping. I continually explore different glazes and clays, seeking the best combinations to create ceramics in a variety of colors and shapes. To address this, all our ceramics undergo a waterproofing treatment with a food-safe sealant before shipping, eliminating the need for initial "seasoning" (me-zome). This treatment requires 2-3 days to complete, which is why we set the shipping window to 5 days from your order. If you prefer not to have the waterproofing treatment applied, please let us know at the time of purchase. - Cutlery shown in product images is not included. - We strive to capture and edit product images to be as true to the actual item as possible.
