"Staying sober is a urban legend. But with this cup, there will be no intoxication."
Driven by an unwavering love for both coffee and fine spirits, this season, we embark on the Wine & Spirit Craft Coffee Series Project. We infuse various potent liquors into coffee beans and then masterfully roast them, blending the unique essence of both spirits and coffee to create a captivating and complex depth of flavor.
Making its debut is a delightful combination of whisky from Scotland and estate-grown coffee from Minas Gerais, Brazil—a harmonious blend of abundant berry notes and a balanced, smooth character. Guaranteed to refresh your senses, let's raise our coffee mugs in celebration this time!

| Whisky-Infused Coffee Flavor Profile |
Through multiple cycles of drying and roasting, the tamed whisky-soaked coffee beans exude a rich aroma of berries and rum-soaked raisins, akin to wandering into an orchard during the late harvest of late winter.
Upon brewing, the whisky notes are profound yet not overpowering, like a well-mannered gentleman in a striped shirt, exuding a gentle and bright rounded texture, with the charm of laughter lines at the corners of his eyes.
However, that is just the initial impression. Upon savoring it thoroughly, the foundational Scottish whisky character emerges, carrying a slightly reserved and enigmatic personality akin to sea breezes, hidden behind the sweetly treated Brazilian coffee.
In the mid-tasting phase, the interplay of liquor, malt syrup sweetness, and cherry chocolate undertones forms the core of the taste experience; as it cools down, notes of dried longan, honey, and a subtle wood-roasted sweetness emerge.
This is a well-structured, gracefully elongated coffee, akin to an affable and charismatic gentleman, concealing intricate depths beneath his surface.

| Coffee Master's Note |
"People who enjoy both coffee and alcohol are usually more interesting."—Of course, that's a bias. Nevertheless, for me, it's a rather practical bias.
The inspiration for our Whisky-Infused Coffee was to showcase the two most beloved beverages in human history, performing together in perfect harmony. The combination of alcohol and coffee is not uncommon, but traditionally, the spirits are added during the brewing process. Our Whisky-Infused Coffee Series, on the other hand, involves first marinating the coffee beans in the liquor and then roasting them, with the hope of creating a more nuanced flavor through time and high temperatures.
Throughout the marination, drying, and roasting processes, we had to select different origin coffees, suitable spirits, drying durations, and roasting curves... and indeed, we faced quite a few challenges. Our studio is now filled with bottles of various sizes, a result of continuous experimentation.
◤
This first appearance of the Whisky-Infused Coffee might not be the crowd-pleaser, but I believe it will captivate certain individuals as Mr. Right does, just like F. Scott Fitzgerald once said, "What I write when I'm sober is extremely foolish"... (It seems that writing, much like love, is less effective when too rational.)
Personally, I enjoy consuming it during work or when seeking inspiration, as it's a stimulating coffee with a hint of pleasant intoxication, feeding my creativity.
