Let's use both money and wallets with care, and tie more prosperous connections!
This is a lavender purple clasp purse, adorned with the "Awaji-musubi" knot from Japan's traditional craft, Mizuhiki. The "Awaji-musubi" knot carries auspicious meanings such as "tying good relationships," "sealing and warding off evil," and "longevity."
Purple has long been revered as a mysterious and noble color. This purse is crafted with the wish that it will ward off evil spirits, enhance concentration, and help you steadily advance.
Please use it for your daily shopping, or as a companion on celebratory days, with a wish for increased financial fortune.
It also makes a recommended gift for cherished family members or close friends.
◆Connect with Money and Relationships! A Beautiful Mizuhiki Exterior
The surface of the purse is meticulously hand-tied with 84 "Awaji-musubi" knots, arranged in 14 rows and 6 columns, imbued with the wish for "improved financial fortune" to foster connections with money.
The "Awaji-musubi" knot, because it is difficult to untie once tied, symbolizes sealing and warding off evil.
It is also said to tie relationships, as it tightens the more its ends are pulled, and has been widely used for celebrations.
The matte, subdued colored Mizuhiki has a smooth texture due to the rayon threads wrapped around its surface. In contrast, the lustrous and elegant Mizuhiki has a slightly rougher feel because the gold and silver threads are spaced further apart. Mizuhiki cords, made with the same technique as the paper cords originally used for topknots, are now machine-made and are surprisingly durable, more so than their appearance might suggest. The flat Mizuhiki craft, with its連なる Awaji-musubi knots, is about 1-2mm thick. The thread-covered surface of the cord gives it a substantial feel, similar to thick fabric.
◆Money Returns!? A Stylish Straight Clasp Purse
The name "Gama-guchi" (clasp purse) is said to originate from its resemblance to the open mouth of a toad ("gama"). The word "kaeru" (to return) in "gama-guchi" is associated with auspicious meanings like "happiness returns," "money returns," and "returns safely," making clasp purses considered lucky. Please open it wide by setting the clasp upright.

[FAQ]
Q: Can I use IC cards by tapping them while they are in the wallet?
A: Based on our tests, it functions without issues.
Q: Since Mizuhiki is made of paper, won't it get tattered easily?
A: We use a type of Mizuhiki where threads are wrapped around a paper cord. With repeated strong friction, the surface fibers may fray, revealing the inner paper cord. We anticipate a typical wallet replacement cycle of around 3 years. Careful use will extend its lifespan. While this is our first wallet product, other Mizuhiki products have demonstrated durability for over 3 years.
Q: How should I clean the Mizuhiki if it gets dirty?
A: Lightly wipe the soiled area with a damp cloth and allow it to dry thoroughly. A commercially available water-repellent spray has been applied to the Mizuhiki for stain prevention, but its effectiveness gradually diminishes.
Q: How should I clean the interior if it gets dirty?
A: Wipe the soiled area with a diluted neutral detergent solution and allow it to dry thoroughly. Please avoid using solvents such as benzine or alcohol.
Q: Is there a warranty period?
A: We offer a one-year warranty against damage. In case of initial defects, we will provide replacements or other appropriate solutions free of charge.
