| Seed Sowing Workshop: Planting Curiosity in Children | In daily life, children rarely have the opportunity to observe seeds germinating or understand the journey a seed takes to become food on our tables. What's more concerning is the fading connection between our children and the land. They've learned to swipe screens but have never sown a seed with their own hands. Despite having abundant and nutritious food daily, they don't understand its origins. We aspire to plant a seed of change in their hearts, which led us to initiate the "Daily Planter" project. We believe the best way to learn is by "doing and learning, learning and doing." Therefore, we've designed a comprehensive "Farm-to-Table Education Program" allowing children to learn through play and grow through hands-on activities. -------------------------------- ❊ Check-in Location: JI SPACE – Co-Working Space (No. 30, Lane 450, Longzhuang Rd., Xinwu Dist., Taoyuan City) In this workshop, you will learn: Papermaking Craft 🌱 Taught by a professional papermaking artist 🌱 Learn papermaking techniques and knowledge 🌱 Understand the circular regeneration of agricultural waste Nursery Tour 🌱 Get acquainted with vegetable nurseries and seedling cultivation 🌱 Learn the seedling process (seeding machine → tray setup → seedling management → transplanting → shifting → shipping) 🌱 Experience the greenhouse environment of a nursery 🌱 Recognize different seedling varieties 🌱 Personally receive your own seedling Repotting into Soil 🌱 Understand the significance of "repotting" 🌱 Learn how to choose suitable pots 🌱 Demonstration of the repotting process 🌱 Participants will practice repotting their seedling into a new home Planter's Journal 🌱 Guide participants through the concept and use of the "Planter's Journal" 🌱 Learn about essential planting supplies, observe seeds, and draw your own seed 🌱 Record the growth process and develop the habit of writing a "Seedling Weekly" Local Delicacies 🌱 Creative dishes using common plants and ingredients from Xinwu Discover how close ingredients are to us!
