Vegetable-tanned leather thrives in dry environments. It is best kept in a well-ventilated area and should not be exposed to prolonged sunlight. **Advanced Care** Mink oil is revered by artisans as "the best care for leather." Then, using a clean cloth or sponge, apply a moderate amount of mink oil and gently buff it onto the leather until fully absorbed. After buffing, the leather surface will gain a subtle sheen, and the color will deepen. However, as the oil absorbs and evaporates, it will soon return to its natural state. This conditioning can be done periodically, typically every 1-2 months.
