[About Tochigi Leather] With pores and blood lines (veins) still visible, remnants of its life, it carries a subtle, savory aroma when brought close. "Tochigi Leather," which conveys the natural charm of cowhide, is cowhide tanned from "hide" to "leather" by Tochigi Leather Co., Ltd. (Tochigi City, Tochigi Prefecture). This is vegetable-tanned nu-buck leather, tanned using tannins extracted from mimosa bark without harmful chemicals. It is a premium cowhide that undergoes a meticulous 20-step tanning process passed down since its founding in 1937. "Tochigi Leather," prized for its natural grain, is highly regarded not only domestically but also by leading international apparel manufacturers. [The Mark of Tochigi Leather: The Red Tag] The red tag is exclusively permitted for use on works created with 100% "Tochigi Leather." At "Your Side Door," we attach the "Red Tag," the symbol of "Tochigi Leather," to works over 3,000 yen. However, all our creations exclusively use "Tochigi Leather."
