ABOUT ITEM'S ORIGIN (You can SKIP it!)
Industar-50 is a normal angle (standard) coated lens issued at USSR since 1950s years for RF Leica copies, then for SLR Zenit cameras... very simple, compact and sharp... just one of Zeiss Tessar copies.
ITEM'S CONDITION: EXCELLENT-
The glass is clean, without scratches, separations or fungus, but very minor cleaning marks at optical elements or pieces of dust inside can be found. It will not really impact on image quality (see the note below, please).
Cosmetically the lens is in fine condition, just examine item's photos, please.
Aperture blades open and close smoothly, focusing is smooth too.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

* Coated optics with Russian red symbol "n" (it sounds like P=prosvetlenije, this symbol was removed since beginning of 1960s, when all Russian optics became coated).
* Relative aperture: 1:3.5
* Aperture: from 3.5 up to 16 (without clicks). The aperture scale rotates during focusing, and for best aperture control You'll see two similar aperture scales on it.
* Mounting: M39x1mm groove, usual for old Soviet SLR cameras like Kristall, Zenit, Zenit-S, Zenit-3M, Start (with adapter).
* Optical registration: 45.2 mm. It still 39 mm mount, but the optical registration is different from the Leica type (LTM) lenses for RF cameras. You will not receive focusing on infinity with RF camera or LTM lens adapter (such LTM systems have 28.8 optical registration).
* You'll can mount this lens to latest SLR cameras with M42 lens mount (known also as Pentax Screw Mount), same with huge quantity of lenses for old Practica, Pentax, Yashica, Cosina etc. Just apply simple M39/M42 adapter.
* The lens is well-applicable for digital cameras with Micro 4/3 system and other with working distance 45.5mm and less, with the use of adapters. You will have to use two adapters together: simple M39/M42 adapter + adapter between M42 and your camera.
* Filter mount: groove 33x0.5mm.
* Focusing: from 0.65m to "infinity".
* Weight (without case and lens caps) 75 gr.
* Diameter 50 mm.
* Length (focused at "infinity") 28 mm.
* The lens have silver finishing.
* Made at Krasnogorsk town near the Moscow city (it has the special symbol).
* The lens was made in 1960, all Russian Zenit cameras had M39 lens mount at this time.
