Among them were Barrack, an engineer from India, and Wei from Vietnam. We learned that cotton cultivation has a long history in India, boasting one of the world's top production volumes! Barrack wanted to share Indian culture with Japan, and Poyto Kose makes embroidered accessories. In 2023, we began developing products using Indian cotton together. With Barrack's help, we connected with an Indian sewing factory. Despite struggling with unfamiliar English communication and cultural differences, we persevered through the challenges! We refined our ideas through repeated meetings via video calls and emails, and our Indian cotton items were born. The Indian Cotton series features items specially ordered from an Indian sewing factory, each meticulously embroidered in our Shiga studio.
