<A one-of-a-kind beauty that brings you happiness>
In the past, people living in Watari, Miyagi Prefecture, used to give gifts in "bukuro" (bags) made from leftover fabric from old kimonos. For example, one sho of rice was used as a gift or in return. There was no fixed name for this, and it was called "Fuguro", a corrupted version of "Fukuro".
"FUGURO" is a reproduction and remake of this traditional custom. The material used is kimono fabric with auspicious patterns, carefully selected from thousands of pieces stored in a chest of drawers. Each piece is carefully handcrafted, with the hope of bringing happiness to the person who wears it firmly sewn into it.
We incorporate the traditional culture of gifting something precious, and the spirit of gratitude, into our products. We deliver one-of-a-kind beauty that will bring you happiness.
Two colors of thread are used to match the colors of the outer and inner lining. Enjoy the beautiful stitching that is pleasing to the eye.

<Points to note when purchasing>
*As all items are handmade, please understand that each piece may vary slightly in size, shape, and pattern.
*Only in rare cases, when we obtain kimono fabric in good condition, we will produce multiple items from the same kimono fabric. Please note that depending on the cutting position of the fabric, the pattern of the delivered item may differ slightly from that shown in the photo.
*Please note that the color and texture may look different between the picture on your screen and the actual product. If you are concerned about this, please contact us or refrain from making a transaction.
*Please note that many of the kimono fabrics used are second-hand and not labeled, so it is often difficult to identify the material. In addition, we thoroughly inspect the items and wash and process them before remaking them. Please be aware that some fabrics may fade or shrink when wet, so please handle with care.
*We also sell this product on other sites, so please forgive us if it is sold out.
