<A unique beauty that brings you happiness>
In the past, when people living in Watari, Miyagi Prefecture, gave gifts, they would place them in a "bag" made from remnants of old kimonos. For example, it might have been a measure of rice given as a celebration or a thank-you gift. There was no set name, and "fukuro" (bag) was slurred into "fuguro."
"FUGURO" is a remake that recreates this old custom. The material is kimono fabric with auspicious patterns, carefully selected from thousands of pieces sleeping in chests. Each piece is meticulously crafted by hand, with a wish for the happiness of the person who receives it.
We deliver a unique beauty that brings you happiness, by sewing the spirit of gratitude into our products, embodying the elegant custom of wrapping and gifting precious items.
We use two colors of thread, matching the colors of the outer and inner fabrics. Please enjoy the beautiful stitching that is pleasing to everyone's eyes.
<Japanese Gifts>
As the material is kimono fabric, a symbol of Japanese culture, our products are popular as souvenirs for overseas visitors and as gifts for foreign customers. They are compact and convenient to carry. We include product descriptions in both Japanese and English.
<Auspicious Patterns as Symbols of Happiness>
These auspicious patterns, used as "symbols of happiness," are auspicious. Understanding the meanings of Japanese patterns connects us to the profound depths of Japanese culture passed down through the ages.
<Plum Blossom Pattern> "Wishing for success," "Academic achievement," "Wishing for safe childbirth"
It is believed that the god of scholarship resides within plum seeds, and they have been treated similarly to the god of learning.

<Notes on Purchase>
* As all items are handmade, please understand that each piece is unique and may vary slightly in size, shape, and pattern.
* In rare cases, if we obtain high-quality kimono fabric, we may produce multiple items from the same fabric. Please note that the pattern placement may differ slightly from the photo depending on the cutting position of the fabric.
* Please understand that the color and texture may appear different from the actual product due to screen settings. If you have any concerns, please contact us or refrain from purchasing.
* As the kimono fabric used as material is often used and its origin is not specified, the material cannot be identified in many cases. We also thoroughly inspect and process the fabric, including washing, before remaking it. Please handle with care as some fabrics may fade or shrink when wet.
* As we also sell on other sites, please forgive us in case of a sell-out.
