Using the traditional "temomi-haku" (hand-rubbed foil) technique used in Kyoto's Nishijin district, ink is applied to create a three-dimensional, shaded effect. This uniquely developed "silver foil" creates an illusion of textured metal. As each piece is handcrafted, the resulting textured silver foil is a material that exists nowhere else in the world. ◎Product Description The "shopper bag" is KENTO HASHIGUCHI's interpretation of the ubiquitous paper shopping bag, reimagined as a handbag. While retaining the appearance of a paper bag, it is crafted with the durability of a bag, featuring protective studs on the base and metal reinforcements at the edges of the fabric. Like a paper bag, the handles are passed vertically through circular openings in the fabric. While maintaining the form of a paper bag, the studs at the base and the accent metal fittings at the corners provide ample strength.
