We have transformed the lily of the valley—a flower beloved for its pure, lovely appearance and fragrance—into a 2-way brooch that can also be worn as a necklace. Lily of the valley is said to have been born from the tears of the Virgin Mary, and in France, there is a custom of gifting them to loved ones on May 1st. The language of flowers also carries wonderful meanings, such as "the return of happiness." The design captures the natural look of the flowers as they bloom on the stem. The green background of the cameo perfectly mirrors the shade of real lily of the valley leaves, while the flowers themselves are a soft cream color. This is an acrylic cameo made of acrylic resin. Unlike cameos carved from shell or stone, this material allows for a level of delicate expression that would be difficult to achieve through carving on such a small scale, making it feel like an illustration from a miniature book. The top section features a generous 4cm x 3cm cameo, ensuring you can enjoy every fine detail of the artwork. The 9th image shows the piece held against a life-sized mannequin for scale. The frame of the cameo is made of wood. The brooch pin is of high quality, attached to the wooden base with a screw rather than being glued. While our other brooches with metal frames include a loop for a necklace chain on the back, this wooden frame does not. Instead, we include a "brooch converter" fitting that allows you to wear it as a necklace by passing the pin through a tube, along with a necklace chain. We also include a small silicone stopper to prevent wobbling, as the lengths of the converter tube and the brooch pin differ. This stopper is slightly different in shape from the silicone brooch stoppers we usually provide to prevent loss. A silicone stopper for use as a brooch is also included.
