This is a vase crafted from blown glass.
The outermost rim features a light green hue, transitioning to sky blue in the middle, and a deeper green towards the base. Directly beneath this layer is white, and the foundation is clear glass, creating a three-layered construction. After shaping the colored glass into its finished form and cooling it once, the surface is masked to create the pattern and then sandblasted. It is then reheated and blown to a final finish. The pattern is lightly etched randomly to avoid an overly heavy appearance.
The outer green and blue layers have slightly shrunk during firing, causing the white layer beneath to be pulled outward, creating a rim. The patterned areas are raised due to the thickness of the colored glass.
A flat layer of clear glass has been applied to the base. It is shaped into a form resembling a bottle with a slightly widened mouth.
The patterns are not machine-printed; each is hand-drawn or created by cutting masking tape, resulting in slightly irregular lines and shapes. Its substantial weight provides stability, making it ideal for arranging taller or fuller floral arrangements, and even sturdy branches.
A medium-sized rose has been arranged in the vase in the sixth photo.
*Not made with heat-resistant glass.
