Our paper cloth products are washable. Many are surprised to hear that paper can be washed, and might wonder if it's treated with special coatings for water resistance. Paper cloth is derived from tree bark. While traditional paper production turns bark into pulp, paper cloth retains the long fibers. These fibers are spun into yarn, woven into fabric, and then cut and sewn into various products. Because of these retained long fibers, paper cloth is more durable than traditional paper. It is also water-washable, breathable, quick-drying, and resistant to mold. The raw materials for paper cloth come from FSC-certified managed forests. It is biodegradable and recyclable, and we hope more people will choose eco-friendly materials like paper cloth.
