Owl Mask Gothic Ver. White × Silver

This is a mask inspired by the owl (horned owl). In Greek mythology, the owl is a companion to Athena, the goddess of wisdom and strategy. It is said that the owl embodies the same powers as the goddess, bestowing blessings. Furthermore, in ancient Egypt, the god Thoth, a deity of wisdom, was revered in the form of an owl. In Japan, the owl has also been considered an auspicious creature due to its name, with interpretations such as "Fukurou" (no hardship), "Fukuro" (joyful arrival of good fortune), and "Fukuro" (prosperous aging). The tufts of feathers above the owl's eyes are depicted as flames, symbolizing the illumination of the world with light and the kindling of passion within the heart. This is a unisex size, and when worn, the mouth will be exposed. Gothic Gothic, originally a term referring to an architectural style that emerged in Northwestern Europe in the 12th century and lasted until the 15th century, is also applied to styles in painting, sculpture, and other fine arts. In today's popular culture, the term Gothic is characterized by its anti-modernity, an affinity for archaic things or images of death, and an inclination towards the spiritual darkness. Gothic fashion originated in Western Europe in the early 15th century, characterized by bold colors, elaborate ornamentation, and exaggerated silhouettes. While multifaceted and ambiguous, it is often expressed with imagery of darkness, death, ruins, mystery, heresy, decadence, and in terms of color, the image of "black." On this fox mask, the leaves of "Acanthus," a representative motif in Gothic architecture and Greek sculpture, are decorated in relief across the entire surface of the mask. Made of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) Uses high-quality genuine silk Edo-braided cord, finished with Japanese paper backing. All ~OBORO~ masks are currently produced with the cord adhered to the mask (integrated type). This was a result of pursuing aesthetic beauty by eliminating the annoyance of the cord touching the face on the back of the mask. However, this means the cord cannot be replaced by the customer. In such cases, you would need to request a repair from us. If you prefer the previous older model (where the mask and cord are not integrated) from the beginning, please consult with us.
