[Peony Dyed] Silk Cotton Warming Socks [Organic Cotton & Silk]
New color for Spring/Summer 2025!
A perennial favorite, these double-weave socks feature smooth silk on the inside and organic cotton on the outside.
These socks are dyed using the botanical dyeing method, with pigments extracted from plants.
The color is a soft, slightly muted pink, achieved with peony dye.
● Peony flower meanings: Sincerity, Bashfulness
A small amount of chemicals (3%) is used to ensure the natural colors set beautifully and last through washes, allowing you to enjoy the color for a long time.
These socks offer warmth and a comfortable, snug fit.
They can be worn alone in warmer weather, or as the first layer in colder seasons for added warmth.
The top of the ankle is designed to be loose and non-constricting, while the foot and ankle area provides a comfortable, close fit.
Many "cold-prevention" socks are very loose, making them difficult to wear alone and requiring layering for stability. However, our "Silk Cotton Warming Socks" have a regular fit and thickness that allows them to be worn as a single layer. This makes them durable, unlike some delicate cold-prevention socks.
They are also recommended for those who dislike five-toe socks or find other cold-prevention socks prone to tearing.
For extra warmth during cold winter days, layering with COCOCOCO's original "Low Gauge Socks" is highly recommended.
Carefully knitted at a sock factory in Nara Prefecture.

[What is Botanical Dyeing?]
Botanical dyeing is a technique that extracts dyes from sources such as flowers, leaves, roots, stems, trees, bark, and fruits. A natural adhesive derived from protein is evenly applied to the fabric, followed by the addition of a small amount of chemical dye. This process enhances colorfastness (resistance to fading from light, sweat, and washing) without the need for a mordant, allowing the beautiful natural colors to be expressed on the fabric.
Natural dyes are not as simple as chemical dyes; they are composed of multiple pigments. The interplay of weak and strong pigments creates a gentle, diffused reflection, resulting in colors that are soft to the eye. We hope you will enjoy the vibrant yet deep and gentle hues of botanical dyeing.
