The Ryukin goldfish is hand-painted with multiple layers of color to bring out vibrant tones. The belly is finished with golden pearl pigment for a delicate shimmer at every angle. Each fin (dorsal, pectoral, ventral, and the four-tail) is drawn with translucent care, and the fine lines of the tail are painted one by one with an extra-fine brush. Even the eyes are crafted with attention. The tiny pupil, the size of a pen tip, is outlined with a soft halo around the white to give depth and a gentle expression. Water plants are arranged one by one, balancing position and flow with the goldfish. The bag itself is shaped carefully by hand from every angle, creating the unique transparency and soft creases that define our goldfish bag style. A small bead painted with a water balloon pattern is set beside the bag.
