At the end of 2024, just before preparing to fly to Korea for a meeting, a sudden lockdown was announced. It was lifted just before our flight, and upon safely arriving in Korea, we found ourselves unexpectedly trapped on a subway car. Protestors surged into the carriage, pushing us so tightly that we could barely breathe and couldn't move. We were almost airborne. Thoughts raced through our minds: What do we do? Will this turn into a stampede? We constantly encouraged each other to stay calm, to find ways to breathe, to keep our heads up, and to stand firm so we wouldn't fall. Fortunately, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, and we were left shaken, tears welling up. A few stops later, as we left the subway, we unexpectedly discovered Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene postures instantly calmed the tumultuous storm we had just experienced. We, who were lost and frightened, felt as though we had firmly returned to solid ground. It truly made us realize, from the bottom of our hearts, how wonderful it is to have cats in the world. Hyejin's cat creations are a true treasure. She utilizes Hanji (Korean traditional paper) and the meticulous *gongbi* (fine-line painting) technique, which are less commonly seen in the market.
