Wrinkles, vein marks, insect bite marks, and scars are normal characteristics of the material. Over time, the color will naturally evolve (e.g., deepen in shade, develop a richer sheen with use). ▪ While hand-dyed leather undergoes a fixing process, it is still advisable to avoid contact with water. Should water spots occur, gently rub the area around the spot in a circular motion with a damp cloth to minimize the appearance of water stains. Allow to air dry in a ventilated area. However, color transfer may occur with friction when wet. ▪ Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as this can cause the leather to become brittle and crack. ▪ Store leather away from damp environments to prevent mildew.
