This octagonal teacup has a stately appearance and depicts a red camellia blooming in the workshop garden in winter.
The vibrantly painted red camellias stand out against the calm black glaze, creating a piece that evokes Japanese beauty and the seasons.
This piece is made by shaping a teacup on a potter's wheel and then pressing it with a spatula into an octagonal shape, then carefully hand-painting red camellias little by little and firing them again and again. The painting was done while considering the color of the glaze mixed in the workshop after firing and the color of the natural flower lover. Gold and silver add a touch of glamour to the camellia. The petals have beautiful crazing. Painting with gold and silver is technically difficult, so the temperature and humidity during the process are carefully controlled to complete the work.
It has a large capacity and keeps your drinks warm, so you can enjoy tea, coffee, and other drinks to your heart's content.
It also makes a great gift.
You can also enjoy watching the depth of the color increase as you use it.
Size: Diameter 7.0cm, Height 9.5cm, Capacity 200cc, Weight 250g
