A bronze five-prong vajra bell from the early Edo to Meiji period
・A vintage casting with a substantial, thick bell body.
・Type A features five prongs that are distinctly separate and spread apart | Type B has five prongs cast as a single integrated unit.
・The lotus petal motifs on the bell surface exhibit hand-engraved lines, with fine beaded patterns adorning the base.
・The bell emits a deep, resonant tone, offering a striking contrast to the crisp sound of Tibetan bells.
・Four encircling bands on the middle section symbolize the four eyes of Dainichi Nyorai (Mahavairocana), signifying the warding off of evil and removal of obstacles.
