She has lived in Malaysia, Shanghai, and New York, and is currently based in Singapore. She weaves discarded, outdated cassette tapes into a new fabric she calls "music fabric." Her aim is to exchange music with everyone in this novel way. This book, "It's My Turn to Hold Her Hand," records stories narrated by her grandmother. Each book comes with a recipe for a Hakka dish that she and her grandmother cooked together. Readers can engage with the text by turning a pencil to rotate the gears, learning to cook traditional Hakka delicacies at the same time.
