Ancient peoples believed Zircon could aid in sleep, ward off evil, protect the wearer, and bring wealth, wisdom, and health. It is also the birthstone for December. ■ Zircon, also known as Hyacinth Stone, is a natural mineral composed of zirconium silicate. Zircon is the oldest mineral discovered on Earth. ■ High Refractive Index: Zircon has a refractive index of 1.92-1.96, second only to diamond (2.417) among natural gemstones. The higher the refractive index of a gemstone, the brighter it appears. ■ High Dispersion Value: Dispersion refers to the condition for producing fire (or fire brilliance). The greater the dispersion rate, the better the fire effect. Generally, gemstones with a dispersion value higher than 0.030 are considered high dispersion gemstones. Zircon's dispersion value is 0.038, while diamond's is 0.044. The two are very similar, earning Zircon the reputation of a gemstone comparable to diamond. ■ Zircon is a doubly refractive gemstone, which allows it to exhibit excellent fire and a doubling effect on facet edges, visually creating the illusion of double the number of facets. **Natural Stone Inclusions** The natural stones used in the NOW Design Studio are all unique, with most being one-of-a-kind pieces. These are specially selected natural stones. We showcase their colors from different angles or under various lighting conditions to our clients. Natural stones inevitably contain internal impurities (inclusions). If this is a concern, we advise against purchasing. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, bleach, and do not store jewelry in bathrooms or kitchens, as this can accelerate product oxidation. For sterling silver or gold-plated jewelry, when not being worn, try to minimize exposure to moisture and air. Clean with a soft, dry cloth or the provided polishing cloth, then store in a PVC zipper bag. Each piece of jewelry should be stored separately to prevent scratches from collision with other jewelry or hard objects.
