Fired at 1260°C, it undergoes a 20-hour intense heat transformation. Within the kiln, the glazes contract and flow, forming the intricate patterns and fluid movement reminiscent of peacock feathers. The challenge in its creation lies in the precise control of glaze thickness and the delicate adjustment of the firing temperature curve. Too thin or insufficient heat will prevent the formation of the "peacock display" pattern, while too thick or excessive heat can cause the glaze to run onto the base, fusing the cup and its stand. Even ambient temperature fluctuations can influence the final outcome. Countless factors are at play, and even after years of dedicated practice, achieving absolute precision remains elusive. It is precisely this inherent variability that imbues each finished piece with its precious uniqueness.
