Material Descriptions: The 14k gold filled material extensively used in the mixandfun studio is crafted by plating a layer of 1/20 14k gold onto a brass base... This has become a popular choice in recent years for its ease of care and durability, offering longer-lasting color at a more accessible price point compared to solid 14k gold. Solid 14k gold, on the other hand, is entirely crafted from 14k gold, containing approximately 58.5% gold with the remainder being silver, iron, or copper. For Taiwan's climate, solid 14k gold offers even more effortless care and a more refined hue. It is also an excellent option for those with sensitive skin. Custom alloy is another material we frequently use. mixandfun hand-selects unfinished chains that we personally favor, then applies a special plating process. As a result, the color remains durable under normal wear conditions. Wearing Precautions: 1. It is recommended to put on all jewelry after dressing and remove it before changing into loungewear. Avoid wearing jewelry while bathing, visiting hot springs, or swimming, as these activities are highly discouraged. 2. For earrings, we suggest securing the included silicone stoppers to minimize the risk of loss. 3. Given Taiwan's warm and humid climate, if jewelry is not worn for an extended period, gently wipe it with a soft cloth before storing it in a sealed bag. 4. For delicate chains, develop a habit of fastening the clasp when removing them to reduce the chance of tangling. 5. Whether made with 14k gold filled, solid 14k gold, or custom alloy, all materials will show signs of wear over time. Your understanding is appreciated. 6. Tip for maintenance: If you notice any oxidation on your jewelry, don't panic. You can prepare a small bowl of water with a pinch of salt and a small piece of aluminum foil. Submerge your solid gold or sterling silver jewelry for about 10 minutes, then remove and polish. It should regain its shine. (Note: Material compositions may vary slightly between brands.)
