This marked an unprecedented occasion, as a card specialty store became a Shoyeido dealer globally. The renowned "Kōrō Matsuyōdō" (Ancient Incense House Shoyeido) from Kyoto, Japan, established in Hōei 2 (1705), has a legacy spanning over three centuries. Carried by the twelfth generation of artisans, they continue to meticulously craft incense using traditional methods and natural ingredients. Many of Kyoto's most celebrated temples, including Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji, Tōji, and Kiyomizu-dera, exclusively use Shoyeido's incense sticks. The incense souvenirs you find at these temples are also carefully produced by Shoyeido. All incense products are handmade in their Kyoto workshops, following ancient practices. Furthermore, Shoyeido's entire range of products, from incense burners to small incense holders and personal incense pouches, are made in Japan, adhering to a commitment to using only the finest materials. Despite Shoyeido's significant recognition in Japan and internationally, they maintain a strict policy of only nine directly managed stores across Japan, purposefully avoiding an increase in sales points or the use of franchise systems to ensure the highest quality of products and services. For their overseas branches, Shoyeido rigorously vets each distributor's business philosophy and conduct, and deliberately limits the number of official distributors to safeguard their century-old reputation. While incense does not have an expiration date, Wosih Cultural and Creative ensures that enthusiasts in Taiwan can enjoy the freshest incense. We place orders every two months through small batch orders, directly shipped from the Kyoto headquarters to Taipei, guaranteeing the optimal quality of the incense. Moreover, due to our collaborative relationship and mutual trust with the headquarters, Wosih Cultural and Creative is one of the few distributors authorized to offer Shoyeido's limited overseas edition incense sticks, as well as Japan-exclusive products. Consequently, Wosih Cultural and Creative has introduced ten distinct product lines, encompassing nearly eighty different types of incense. We also offer a curated selection of over sixty different accessories, including incense holders, dishes, and burners.
