Authentic Soviet / Russian chess set made from carbolite. 1950s, very good overall condition. In terms of weight and surface texture, it reminds me of the earliest types of carbolite; it is likely one of the early sets of this type. There are significant cavities at the base of the pieces, which will allow you to easily increase their weight by 30-40%. The height of the king is 8.5 centimeters.
PS: The only irregularity is the teeth on the black queen. There are a few small chips on the sharp elements.
Normal board for is between 37 and 40 cm. Should be also fine with larger boards, eg 45
