This teacup is carefully made on a potter's wheel using coarse Shigaraki clay containing feldspar. The scarlet color characteristic of Shigaraki ware is brought out in a gas kiln. Because it is fired at high temperatures, the rough Stone inside the clay melt and come to the surface. After firing, the Stone on the surface are carefully polished by hand one by one to make them fit comfortably in the hand. The color makes whatever you put inside stand out. You can enjoy tea, coffee, alcohol, and more. You can also enjoy watching the cracks appear on the inside as you use it. About Crazing The fine glassy cracks on the surface take on color, changing and blending into the base color to a more tasteful shade.
