Hand-painted with natural lacquer, each pen undergoes 72 layers of hand-applied colored lacquer, sanding, and drying. After maturation, it is polished. Achieving a certain level of luster requires 3-6 months of dedicated effort, followed by intricate hand-painting. The result is a piece with visible brushstrokes and depth, capturing the spirit and form of figures and animals with an expressive, freehand style, distinguishing it from conventional meticulous paintings. Beyond Teacher Amo's unique techniques, each stroke reveals texture, incorporating elements of Japanese Maki-e art, allowing the natural grain to be appreciated. Unlike typical lacquer pens with smooth, uniform surfaces devoid of brushwork, Lao Shanyang's natural lacquer paintings clearly showcase the artistry of each stroke, with vibrant lines defining the subject. These are complete works of art, suitable not only as static desk ornaments but also as displays. Striving for perfection, these pens are not made in Japan or mainland China, nor do they use chemical coatings or printing. Lao Shanyang pioneers a new realm in natural lacquer craftsmanship, creating a new domain for natural lacquer fountain pens with innovative approaches. Through exquisite artistry, they redefine the aesthetic of fountain pens as both functional writing instruments and collectible treasures. A fountain pen is more than just an object for enjoying the warmth of handwriting and the smooth glide on paper; these natural lacquer fountain pens are art pieces that can adorn any desk.
The Ryukyu goldfish, characterized by its lack of a dorsal fin and an "egg-like" shape, combined with a full headgrowth, appears even more endearing and charming. These delightful goldfish, swimming among aquatic plants, possess rounded bodies and gracefully flowing tails. They are traditionally regarded as symbols of good fortune and prosperity.

Note: Regularly wipe and maintain the pen body and the inside of the cap. When storing, do not leave the nib facing downwards for extended periods.
Warm reminder: Avoid pressing down on the nib while writing, or writing with uneven pressure to the left or right (for right-handed users, it is recommended that the nib point towards the 10 or 11 o'clock direction when writing) to prevent accidental misalignment of the iridium point, which can cause scratching and ink flow issues. The nib should be rinsed with clean water regularly to prevent ink buildup and blockage, which can affect writing quality.
