The first project of Pig House Post™ is "Hong Kong Ghost Stories" (abbreviated as "Ghosts"). Hong Kong lyricist Lin Xi once said: "The existence of ghost stories is the preciousness of Hong Kong." The emergence of local ghost legends often reflects the social conditions, customs, and unique historical background of the time, which is very worthy of recording and preservation. We hope to explore Hong Kong’s century-old history, culture and identity with everyone by compiling Hong Kong’s century-old folk ghost legends.
"Goblin" uses food stickers (しょくがん) as a medium to interpret Hong Kong's ghost legends. This type of food stickers was first included in Japanese snack packages in 1977. The general size is 4.8 x 4.8cm. The public calls them "chocolate cookie stickers", "food stickers" or "cookie stickers". In the 80s and 90s, Hong Kong was influenced by Japanese pop culture. This kind of "food and play stickers" is also one of the collective childhood memories of many Hong Kong people. We have systematically integrated 100 ghost legends and combined them with food and play stickers into a new media, with pictures and texts to record the "Monster Encyclopedia" that belongs to Hong Kong people.
The project will launch a total of 100 food toys stickers based on Hong Kong ghost legends. We created a monster character for each story and included its introduction. The food stickers are combined with special printing effects, such as laser flash stickers, gold and Silver hot stamping, etc., to enhance the collection value of "Hong Kong Ghost Stories".
The "Hong Kong Ghost Stories" sticker series collects stories of hundreds of local ghosts, and the original illustrations and texts fully interpret the mysterious events. The 7th episode includes "The Girl with Pigtails", "Oxtail Soup in the Dormitory", "Ghost in the Lotus Pond" and "The Door".
