Thin wax may not yield a clear imprint; use thicker wax and avoid overheating, which makes the wax thin. 3/ The quality of the wax also influences the imprint. Higher quality wax results in clearer patterns. 4/ Tiny brass shavings might be present inside the stamp head from the engraving process.
