Cashmere, also known as "goat down," is sourced from goats primarily residing on the high Himalayas at altitudes of 15,000 feet. To withstand the cold, they grow a layer of soft "down" in late autumn for added warmth. This down is one of the finest animal fibers, not only providing excellent insulation but also prized for its lightness, luster, and elasticity, earning it the nickname "diamond fiber."
The key differences between Cashmere and regular wool are:
1. Cashmere feels lightweight and does not cause any prickly sensation.
2. Cashmere's irregular curls and fine fibers create air pockets when made into a scarf, which not only prevents cold air from penetrating but also retains body heat, offering superior warmth.
3. Its excellent elasticity means it resists wrinkling and quickly recovers its beautiful shape after folding.
Suitable for: Spring, Autumn, Winter, Air-conditioned rooms, International travel (including snowy regions)
Please note that there may be slight color differences between photos and the actual product. Handmade dyeing may not be perfectly uniform; please refrain from purchasing if this is a concern!
Care Instructions:
1. Due to its delicate nature, dry cleaning is recommended. Iron at a low temperature with a cloth barrier. Do not bleach or iron at high temperatures.
2. Avoid wearing with other metal accessories or jewelry to prevent snagging.
3. The fine fibers of cashmere can occasionally snag, which is normal for 100% Cashmere. If snagging occurs, do not cut the fibers. Gently pull them straight along the weave direction with your hand.
4. If pilling occurs, gently pat it away with your hand; do not use a brush.
5. Photos may exhibit color variations. While handmade, the intricate patterns may not be perfectly uniform. The edges of the scarf have a fringed appearance.
6. As these items are made in Nepal without added fixatives, slight color bleeding or fading is normal.
