During Lunar New Year in my childhood, my grandmother would always prepare mullet roe, pan-frying it with rice wine and slicing it thin to enjoy with hot pot. Now, whenever I eat mullet roe at weddings or year-end parties, I am reminded of that simple and happy taste. I remember once helping a friend buy mullet roe and watching the owner patiently wrap each piece; it was moving. Doing one thing well in life is a truly beautiful thing. 【 About the Brand 】 Gímgoânheng: A Century-Old Fabric Store from Tainan Founded in 1923, the first-generation founder, Mr. Zhang Xiang, started from a house on Shennong Street in Tainan. The business focused on fabric import, dyeing, and wholesale/retail, eventually becoming a major supplier during the Japanese colonial and post-war eras. However, with industrial transformation and changing consumption patterns, the business declined. Today, a century later, it has been transformed into "Gímgoânheng Fabric Store," "Gímgoânheng Life," and "Gímgoânheng Space."
