This brooch is inspired by the hairpin of Consort Xiang, a consort of Emperor Qianlong of China's Qing Dynasty, who was renowned as a wise ruler.
While not widely known in Japan, Consort Xiang is a very popular figure among Chinese history enthusiasts as a beautiful but ill-fated woman of Uyghur origin.
In honor of Consort Xiang, a Muslim, we have incorporated filigree parts from Turkey, a Muslim country, to evoke an exotic charm (these are the round dangling ornaments at the bottom right). White and pink natural coral beads (pear-shaped and dyed) have been added here.
Furthermore, inspired by the legend that she exuded a fragrant scent, we have lavishly adorned the piece with motifs of fragrant roses. These are made of resin, with a marbled blend of pink and cream, reminiscent of conch shell.
For color, we've scattered Czech beads with a nuanced hue blending transparency and pink, along with lustrous, perfectly spherical coral-colored glass pearls from Swarovski.
When they move, the dangling ornaments create a gentle, rustling sound. Perhaps the hairpins that adorned the locks of ancient beauties made such subtle sounds as they walked...
We hope this piece inspires you to ponder the romance of history.
It is said that Consort Xiang was a fictional character based on a real empress. The empress who served as her model was also a Muslim woman of Uyghur origin, but she was deeply cherished by Emperor Qianlong and lived a full life.
A silicone brooch stopper is included for secure wear.
Images 1-6 and the video on the right show the actual last remaining item. Its design features a dynamic arrangement where the flowers seem to meet your gaze from various angles.

◇ ◇ ◇
As this is a delicate piece, please handle it with care. The dangling ornaments are particularly intricate, so please be mindful. If the dangling parts become tangled, gently try to loosen them.
We generally aim to minimize the visibility of the base mesh (the "shower base" where parts are attached), but in this series, it has been intentionally left as part of the design. Thank you for your understanding.
The components are attached to the base with nylon thread. While they may seem to move slightly, they are securely fastened to prevent detachment, so please use them with confidence.
When not in use, storing the brooch in a sealed plastic bag will help maintain its appearance for a longer period. Exposure to air can cause discoloration on the metal parts. Please avoid polishing the metal parts with an abrasive cloth, as they are all plated.
The resin rose motifs may have slight variations in color distribution.
Coral is a natural material, so there will be differences in size and shape for each bead. Please appreciate these as the unique characteristics of natural materials.
The Turkish metal parts may show slight irregularities in shape, which we hope you will appreciate as part of their charm.
Please avoid using this on fabrics where needle holes might be prominent.
