What is DE and SE when we talk about synthetic dreads?
If you are new to synthetic dreads, 'DE' and 'SE' are the words that you hear most often. This is a name for a different type of dreads.
SE meaning is 'Single Ended'
DE meaning is 'Double Ended'
SE dreads is one dread with loop type or brush type of root.
You can braid your hair with loop or you can crochet them with your permanent dreads with brush type.
1DE dread will give two dreads, they look like folded on the root part.

From the top DE / middle SE with loop / bottom SE with brush type
This is examples brush root SE.
If you have permanent dreads and add more length, you will get this type of dreads and crochet them with your dreads.
For example, if you have 20DE, you will have 20 sections on the head when you install them, and you will get total 40 dreads.
If you have 20SE, you will have 20 sections on the head when you install them, and you will have 20 dreads.
It depends on your taste which type you love more. DE will give you better volume than SE when you install it.

This item, you do not need to care a lot and wash them. Just install it and attach it or clip-ins on hair when you need and remove as you comfortable
How to Care Synthetic Hair extensions generally
You can have shower with synthetic dreads without problem, synthetic dreads is totally okey with water.
It does not matter which shampoo you use.
Do not use shampoo and conditioner on the exactly synthetic hair, synthetic hair is not human hair, so they can make synthetic hair greasy. Point is that you wash your hair, wash it as if you are massaging your scalp.
If it is with clips, you do not need to mind a lot, just simply remove it when you do not use it.
When you remove extensions from your head, you can hand wash them
The way to wash is really simple. First, prepare any shampoo and fill the bathtub with cold or warm water. After that, put a little bit of shampoo in water and foam a lot. Then, soak your synthetic extensions in it and do hand wash gently. After that just keep it in the water with foam around 5 ~ 10mins depends on condition.
If time has passed, rinse it clean with clean water. And dry the laundry as if you were drying it naturally.
