Prosperous Fortune Dog - Upright Ears
Lucky Arrival Dog - Drooping Ears

Prosperity and Good Fortune
The countryside of Yilan is like the Peach Blossom Spring described in ancient texts, with fertile fields, beautiful ponds, mulberry trees, and bamboo, where paths crisscross and one can hear the sounds of chickens and dogs. Various dog breeds often appear guarding the entrances of rural homes. "Dogs" are symbols of safety and protection, imbued with auspicious meanings of good fortune. The "woof woof" sound of dogs, often heard in the countryside, is homophonous with the character for "prosperous," and dogs also symbolize wealth and prosperity, signifying flourishing growth.
During traditional Lunar New Year celebrations, every household hangs red lanterns to create an atmosphere of joy and reunion. Spring Festival lanterns carry the auspicious meaning of "great fortune arriving."
Blooming before all other flowers, bringing spring to the world, the plum blossom is revered as an auspicious symbol of spring's arrival. A popular saying goes, "A branch of plum blossoms signifies the New Year." The blooming of plum blossoms adds to the festive spirit of the approaching Spring Festival. The five petals of the plum blossom also symbolize longevity, wealth, health, virtue, and a peaceful end, representing the "Five Blessings."
[Craftsmanship]
Hand-glazed. Blue and white decal application
★ This piece is handmade, embracing a free-spirited feel and natural variations. Due to high-temperature firing, the final shape may not be perfectly round, and each piece will have slight differences in size and form.
The white glaze on the artwork is hand-dipped, resulting in natural flow patterns and minor imperfections. The hand-applied blue and white decal will exhibit varying shades of color after firing. Occasionally, natural brown iron spots or blue glaze specks may appear. Please refrain from ordering if you have extremely high expectations regarding color consistency.
[Dimensions]
Mouth Diameter 7.5cm, Height 7.5cm, Base 10cm (±0.5cm)
[Material]
Ceramic clay. Fired at 1230°C
★ Please note! The blue and white pattern on the vessel is a natural decal, not printed or a decal sticker, thus it will present natural, irregular edges and textures.
[Usage and Care]
Can be heated in a rice cooker and washed with water or detergent.
To prolong its lifespan, avoid microwave heating. Microwaving handmade ceramicware with significant temperature differences between hot and cold may cause cracks due to uneven heating.
