[ Fair Trade, Ethical Product ]
This hand-woven shoulder bag is made by the Karen people living in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Cotton threads are naturally dyed, and the bag is meticulously finished over a long period through hand-weaving and hand-sewing.
This particular design features a traditional plant motif woven into the fabric, making it an even more elaborate piece.
The combination of colors and patterns is left to the weaver's artistic sense, making each bag a unique, one-of-a-kind treasure that can only be found at this moment.
The indigo blue is dyed using a fermented indigo leaf solution, and indigo cultivated in the Karen villages is also used.
The warm hues of natural dyes and the rich texture unique to hand-woven fabric are captivating.
It pairs beautifully with casual outfits, feminine dresses, and natural-style ensembles.
Furthermore, its traditional simple design without pockets or zippers offers surprisingly ample storage, making it practical.
It's lightweight and easy to carry, yet spacious enough for daily use.
When not in use, it can be compactly folded for storage.
As it is made from natural materials, it's also perfect for outings to natural spots like campsites or beaches, or for outdoor events.
A one-of-a-kind bag serves as a fashion accent and can brighten your mood when worn.
This hand-woven bag, filled with the charm of craftsmanship, also makes a wonderful gift.
Interestingly, the Karen people use these bags to carry things like rice wrapped in banana leaves for fieldwork or when herding water buffalo, or to carry chewing tobacco and wallets when going out.
We hope you'll enjoy using it freely, perhaps imagining their mountain lifestyle as you do.

[Care Instructions for Naturally Dyed and Hand-woven Products]
Naturally dyed products are less resistant to washing and sunlight compared to chemical dyes, and their colors will change with use. Please pay attention to the following points when caring for and using them.
Color transfer or fading may occur due to friction or moisture. When wearing or using light-colored clothing or bags, be mindful of color transfer. Using dark-colored clothing or bags together may make color transfer less noticeable. Dark colors, in particular, tend to fade easily, so we recommend washing them once before wearing.
When washing, we recommend hand washing separately from other clothes. If using a washing machine, use a neutral detergent, place the item in a laundry net, and wash on a gentle cycle separately from other clothes. However, machine washing may accelerate fabric damage and color fading. Avoid using a dryer and dry in the shade.
* About Starching.
For fabric products, we may use threads starched with rice paste, but the starch will typically wash out after about two washes.
