Near the Himalayas, the unique, frigid climate of Kashmir inspired a delicate craft: boiled wool. Taking advantage of the high altitude and lower boiling point of water, the local artisans developed this traditional technique. In the early morning, as the sun rises, wool products are steeped in melted snowmelt from the plateau, then heated to a boil. As the sun sets in the evening, the woolens are then dried under the moonlight. This intricate process not only removes impurities but also causes the wool to shrink, tightening the fibers. Finally, women hand-weave and embroider these pieces, creating textiles of unique colors and stitching.

Material
100% Himalayan Kashmir Wool
Dimensions
70 x 180 cm
(Due to variations in measurement methods and positions, all dimensions are measured horizontally by hand. Slight discrepancies may occur due to fabric elasticity, starting point of measurement, etc. An error margin of ±3cm is within international inspection standards.)
Recommended Cleaning Method
1. Fill a basin with an appropriate amount of laundry detergent and mix well with lukewarm water. Lay the scarf flat in the basin and gently press it with both hands for twenty to thirty seconds, allowing the detergent solution to pass through the fiber gaps. This prevents the fibers from tangling.
2. Rinse using the same method until the scarf is clean.
3. Gently squeeze out excess water. Dry the scarf by laying it flat on a towel or drying rack in a cool, shaded area. Exposure to ultraviolet rays can cause wool to yellow.
