**> Indigo Dyeing**
"Blue, taken from indigo, yet surpasses indigo."
Polygonum tinctorium, an annual herbaceous plant, is primarily used for dyeing, from which indigo dyeing gets its name.
Indigo dyeing is a form of plant dyeing. Through repeated immersion and dyeing, with countless unpredictable factors,
it produces wonderful color gradients and textures. This is the creativity of nature itself,
and the allure of indigo dyeing, always offering unexpected surprises.
**> Plant Dyeing**
Plant dyes are sourced from nature. Different plants yield different colors, imbuing fabrics with pure, soft hues and a gentle herbaceous fragrance.
Upon initial washing, there may be slight fading, but like colors softened by the passage of time, it possesses a natural, tranquil, lived-in character.
**> Care Instructions**
1 Traditional plant-dyed items have undergone water washing and color-fixing treatment.
Hand-dyed colors may be irregular and uneven; each product will have slight variations. Please be aware!
2 Plant-dyed fabrics are resistant to dirt and sweat. If soiled, local cleaning is recommended.
They can be washed in cold water without soaking and should not be wrung out forcefully. Avoid direct sunlight; hang to dry in a cool, ventilated area.
3 Can be worn daily for washing and light exercise without needing to be removed.
As cotton fabric takes time to dry when wet, which can affect its lifespan, wearing it during showers is not recommended.
**The purer the indigo dye, the less colorfast it will be due to the absence of chemical fixing agents. However, this is an indispensable aspect of indigo. The fading after use is beautifully termed "luò sè" (falling color), and without this fading, indigo would lose its unique charm.**
