Introducing Atelier Llewellyn's first one-on-one beginner sewing machine class!
Since launching our basic hand-sewing course, many students have inquired about other classes, with sewing machine courses being consistently popular. While Atelier Llewellyn is not primarily focused on teaching, our meticulous approach ensures that any course we offer is something we genuinely love and believe will be beneficial to our students. Through the learning process, we aim to help you understand that the fashion industry isn't always as glamorous as it appears. You'll discover the effort and hidden costs involved in creating a well-made garment or fabric item, which will become clear once you experience it firsthand.
Our core mission remains unchanged: we hope that through practical application, students will understand the birth of a garment. This understanding will empower you to make informed choices, opting for well-crafted, high-quality clothing that lasts, thereby reducing fast fashion consumption and its environmental impact. Change truly begins with ourselves.
This single-session introductory course is designed for absolute beginners with no prior sewing machine experience who wish to **thoroughly learn fundamental concepts and operations**. Through hands-on practice, you will complete a small project, learn the basic principles and usage of a sewing machine, and become familiar with basic fabric ironing.
This course involves only straight-line stitching, making it a very introductory sewing machine operation. The instructor will provide demonstrations and offer assistance.
Students will complete one finished product in this course: a snap frame coin purse.
Dimensions: Approx. 7cm height (excluding the snap frame) x 9cm base width x 4cm base depth (Snap frame size: 8.5cm)
**Note: The hardware selected by the designer is quite snug to prevent items from falling out. After installation, it will require assistance from another hand to open. Please consider this carefully before registering if you have concerns about ease of use.**
Material: Outer fabric is a Liberty print cotton from a century-old British noble department store or a print cotton from AGF (Art Gallery Fabrics) in the USA. The lining is Taiwanese cotton.
Use: Suitable for storing credit cards, business cards, change, or small items like lip balm or lipstick.

Upon successful registration and confirmation, your class spot will be reserved, and related teaching and work schedules will be arranged. **Rescheduling, makeup classes, or transferring of slots are not permitted, nor can they be converted to other class formats.**
