Atelier Llewellyn's first one-on-one private lesson on sewing (machine) basics was born~ Since we started offering basic hand sewing classes, many students have asked about offering other courses, and courses on sewing with sewing machines have always been a popular topic. As the designer is the principal and the ringmaster, he has limited time to handle all matters, and developing and preparing a class requires repeated consideration, demonstration and revision, such as controlling the course time, arranging the objects to be made, and whether the difficulty level is appropriate...etc. Although Atelier Llewellyn is not specialized in teaching, he is picky about his work style and hopes to offer courses that he really likes and can help students. Through the learning process of this course, everyone can realize that the clothing industry is not as glamorous as imagined by the outside world. If a piece of clothing or fabric product is to be made well, why is the price so high? You can understand the effort and hidden costs involved by experiencing it yourself. Our purpose remains unchanged: we hope that students can understand the creation of a piece of clothing through practical operations, and then wisely choose to buy clothing with good texture, fine workmanship, and that can be worn for a long time, reduce excessive fast fashion consumption, and reduce pollution to the environment. Everything can start with changing oneself. This introductory single class is for students who have no sewing machine experience but are interested in getting started. During the class, students will complete a small project, learn the basic principles and uses of sewing machines, and basic fabric ironing. This course only uses straight-line sewing, which is a very basic sewing machine operation. The instructor will also demonstrate and assist.
