Born in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, he graduated from the Faculty of Letters at Fukuoka University of Education. From his youth, he simultaneously engaged in creating tanka, haiku, and modern poetry. His debut poetry collection, "Minotaur, My Bull," published when he was 22, comprises modern poems written between the ages of 14 and 21. Subsequently, he has published 36 collections of poetry and selected poems, 10 collections of tanka and haiku, 3 novels, 4 stage plays, and 30 collections of essays and criticism. Beyond translations into various languages, several of his selected poems have been published in English in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Born in Luohe, Henan, in 1965, he moved to Japan for studies in the early 1990s and is currently a professor at Josai International University, Japan. He has published five poetry collections, including "Selected Poems of TAHARA" and "Dreaming Serpent." He has received Chinese poetry awards in Taiwan, Mainland China, Japan, and the United States. She participated in an exchange program at Josai International University, Japan, from September 2015 and obtained a Master of Arts in International Culture in August 2016.
