Handcrafted earrings featuring elements inspired by original hand-painted watercolors.
Taiwan is home to 27 species of the *Zizeeria* butterfly family, remnants of the ice age. They inhabit only the misty forests of mid-to-high altitudes. When their wings are closed, they reveal simple shades of gray and brown, but when spread, the wing surfaces shimmer with brilliant metallic hues of green, blue, and pearl, earning them the title "living jewels of the misty forests."
The *Zizeeria westonii*, also known as the Weston's blue, exhibits distinct coloration between males and females. This piece is crafted to resemble the male butterfly. The wings are dusted with silver powder, unfolding along the ear cartilage. They shimmer and flutter with every movement.
Approximate dimensions of the wing body:
Width: 1.6 cm
Length: 3.4 cm
The ear cuff features round beads at the points of contact with the ear, offering a smooth, comfortable feel that minimizes pain and burden even with prolonged wear. The accent stones are prehnite.
The listed price is for a single earring. You may choose either the left ear or the right ear. Please make your selection from the menu. A postcard featuring the original watercolor painting will be included with your purchase (please refer to the fourth image). Feel free to inquire if you have any questions. Thank you.
