When visiting hot springs with sulfur, it's best to store your jewelry in a sealed bag to prevent contact with airborne sulfur, which can cause tarnishing. Post-Plating Care 1. For plated jewelry, simply rinse with clean water and dry with a soft eyeglass cloth. 2. Plated or oxidized pieces should not be cleaned with silver polishing cloths or dips, as this can affect the durability of the plating and may cause it to peel. 3. To prolong the life of plated silver jewelry, minimize contact with chemical agents such as volatile perfumes, essential oils, or alcohol-based solutions. 4.
